Expected completion Date.

Budget

Discussed budget for past month.

We are on target for the year.

On going

Investment proposal/ CD

Should church invest $40,000 of money in general treasury to seek 1% interest.  It seems that gaining interest from cash reserves is a good idea.  Stewardship council will need to seek guidance from session on what investment strategy best fits our mission and risk tolerance.

Tabled till later in the year.

Better Space

Minutes from last meeting were shared

Need to seal the building so that it sheds water.

Capital fund has been asked to work on plan for phase two.

Will ask Bornstein to seal the front building for $2700.  Money will come from better space budget.  What type of Guarantee with Bornstein offer on the sealant.

Minor repairs

Will visit repairs once better space projects to exterior of the church have been completed.

Summer 2012

LG&E

LG&E would like an easement on our property to place a pole in order to raise the electric lines.

We agree to allow the pole.  Questions still on if any member will object and how to address the neighbors.

Stewart will ask Betterspace if we need a new service as part of our upgrades.

Audit

It has been several years since we have had an audit.

Abby will work with Ted and Jack L. to conduct an audit.  Abby has some ideas of creating policies regarding the accounts.

06/13/12

Anamchara

We have asked Anamchara to raise the rent to $175 a month as of July 1, 2012.  Then raise the rent to the original amount which is $200 a month January 1, 2012.  They would like their sign to be across the sidewalk from ours.  It would be 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. It would be lighted by a solar panel.

Stewardship council was not excited about the size of the sign.  Will address this with session.

05/23/12

Roof

Damaged took place to the roof over the education building.  Insurance will cover costs up to $18,600.  We already have received a $3000 check.  This 18k should cover the cost of the roof, however, betterspace would like to pursue the option of a metal roof which should last longer.

Stewart will work with Betterspace about the choice of a metal roof.

Council Rep – pastor task force

Stewardship council needs a representative to speak with Jane about our needs.

Amy will be our representative.  We will formulate where we need Jane's assistance next month when more members are present.

Parking Lot

Blue dog Bakery would like to rent spots for 10 to 12 cars for Tuesdays to Saturdays.

This means we would need to pay taxes.  How would this affect easement with neighbors.  How would this affect our insurance.  To many questions and time so the answer is no.
