Established in 1948, Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church (CHPC)
Preschool creates a happy first experience away from home
with a planned program that meets the physical and emotional
needs of your child in a multicultural environment. CHPC
Preschool nurtures your child with opportunities for group
participation as well as individual creative expression.
Your child will learn to share responsibilities, take turns,
give and receive help, and stand up for his/her rights while
recognizing the rights of others.
CHPC Preschool provides:
Trained and experienced teachers: Two state-certified early
education teachers teach a maximum of twelve two-year olds.
Two state-certified early childhood education teachers and
other specialized instructors teach a maximum of twenty-four
three and four-year olds
Physical plant that meets high standards required by the
Board of Health and the Fire Marshall. Equipment for social
and dramatic play. Large outdoor play area, organic
garden, and auditorium for use in bad weather.
Balance between quiet and active periods. Language
development through music and sign language. Math
concepts with activities that encourage reasoning and
problem solving through weekly themes in a year-round
calendar. Development of fine and gross motor skills
through specifically designed activities including dramatic
dance
Eligibility: Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church
Preschool is a state-licensed preschool for two, three, and
four-year old boys and girls. A child should be two, three,
or four years old when he/she enrolls in September or two,
three, or four years old before October 1 of enrollment.
